Ranking the Most Powerful Xianxia Characters Across Series (contains spoilers)
Xianxia power scaling has always been chaotic. Characters die and return, gods seal their own strength, artifacts create sudden advantages, and emotions can unlock hidden forms powerful enough to shake entire realms. That makes one question especially difficult to answer: who is truly the strongest?
To make this ranking fair, the list focuses on televised xianxia dramas and compares characters using raw combat ability, destructive scale, immortality or resurrection mechanics, strategic intelligence, and canon feats shown onscreen.
This ranking includes characters from Love Between Fairy and Devil, Ashes of Love, Love and Redemption, and Eternal Love (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms).
Spoilers ahead.
#6 – Ye Hua
Eternal Love (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms)
Ye Hua begins this list not because he is weak, but because everyone here is exceptionally powerful. As the Crown Prince of Heaven, he possesses immense combat skill, durability, and noble strength. He repeatedly proves himself capable of protecting the realms and standing against dangerous enemies.
However, Ye Hua’s power functions within the heavenly hierarchy. He is elite, but he does not demonstrate the same overwhelming realm-shaking dominance as the characters ranked above him.
#5 – Goddess of Xishan (Xiao Lanhua Awakened Form)
Love Between Fairy and Devil
When Xiao Lanhua awakens as the Goddess of Xishan, she becomes one of the most important beings in existence. Her abilities are tied to balance, restoration, and primordial divine energy. She can counter ancient destructive forces and restore harmony where chaos has taken root.
What keeps her lower on this list is that her power is not primarily offensive. She is cosmically vital, but not portrayed as a pure conqueror or battlefield destroyer.
#4 – Yu Sifeng
Love and Redemption
Yu Sifeng is one of the most dangerous fighters in xianxia drama thanks to his bloodline, combat instincts, and rebirth symbolism linked to phoenix mythology. In battle, he can be devastating and adaptable, often rising when others would fall.
His main limitation is consistency. Emotional turmoil and instability affect how reliably he can access his highest potential. At his peak he can rival stronger names, but across an entire ranking he falls just short of the top three.
#3 – Runyu
Ashes of Love
Runyu’s rise to Heavenly Emperor transforms him into one of the most formidable figures in xianxia. He combines dragon power, immense reserves of energy, strategic brilliance, and political control. Unlike many characters who rely only on force, Runyu understands patience, manipulation, and timing.
That makes him terrifying. Still, much of his dominance is strengthened by position and authority. He is supreme within the celestial order, but not quite as individually unstoppable as the two above him.
#2 – Bai Qian
Eternal Love (Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms)
Bai Qian is the definition of cultivated divine excellence. She survives heavenly tribulations, ascends to High Goddess status, endures reincarnation, and repeatedly overcomes forces that would destroy lesser immortals.
Her power is refined, immense, and deeply earned. She carries the authority of one who has truly reached the highest levels of cultivation. Yet while she is one of the greatest gods in xianxia television, she is not usually framed as an apocalyptic force capable of casually overwhelming realms through sheer destructive might.
#1 – Dongfang Qingcang
Love Between Fairy and Devil
Dongfang Qingcang takes the top spot because he combines nearly every trait needed to dominate a xianxia ranking. He removed his emotions to eliminate weakness, survived ancient war, overpowered heavenly forces, and defeated Tai Sui, a catastrophic ancient threat.
His Hellfire is one of the most dangerous abilities in modern xianxia drama, capable of annihilating enemies on a massive scale. Unlike many powerful characters, he does not depend on artifacts, borrowed authority, or unstable awakenings.
Most importantly, even after regaining his emotions, he remains terrifyingly strong. He balances destructive force with intelligence, discipline, and leadership.
Many characters are powerful. Few are powerful and stable.
That is why Dongfang Qingcang stands at number one.

Why Xianxia Rankings Are Different
In xianxia stories, strength is rarely just about who punches hardest. Power is tied to cultivation, spiritual growth, emotional balance, destiny, sacrifice, and cosmic law. That is why the strongest character is often the one who masters both inner and outer power.
And in this ranking, no one represents that better than Dongfang Qingcang.
