Crunchyroll has revealed its Fall 2026 streaming slate, and several major returning franchises are arriving alongside a substantial collection of new adaptations.

Among the biggest names are Black Clover Season 2, The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 and Aoashi Season 2, while new titles include Firefly Wedding and Overgeared.

That combination makes this one of those seasons where the problem is not finding something to watch.

Black Clover returns

Black Clover Season 2 is scheduled to begin on 3 October, continuing the anime adaptation after a very long wait for fans of Asta and the Clover Kingdom.

Its return alone would make the season notable.

Instead, it shares the schedule with another enormous returning title.

The Apothecary Diaries season 3

Maomao is also back, with The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 forming part of both Crunchyroll’s Fall 2026 slate and its announced English-dub schedule.

The series’ mix of palace mystery, medicine, political intrigue and Maomao’s magnificently unromantic response to Jinshi has helped it build a large international audience.

The new season is joined by Aoashi Season 2, adding another established fan favourite to the lineup.

New series worth watching

The season is not surviving on sequels alone.

Firefly Wedding joins the slate with its historical romance story, while Overgeared brings the popular Korean web-novel and webtoon property into anime.

Other announced titles include Magic Knight Rayearth, PSYREN, The World’s Strongest Witch, The Detective Is Already Dead Season 2, A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special Season 2 and Reborn as a Space Mercenary.

A season built for multiple fandoms

The interesting thing about the Fall 2026 lineup is its range.

There is established shonen, mystery, romance, sports anime, fantasy, isekai and adaptations of properties that already have large readerships in other formats.
