The Trunk K-drama review

By Published On: November 2nd, 2026

The Trunk follows Noh In Ji, an employee of a secretive marriage service that arranges contractual spouses for a fixed period of time. She becomes the temporary wife of Han Jeong Won, a lonely music producer emotionally scarred by his past. When a mysterious trunk surfaces from a lake, secrets begin to unravel. Seo Hyun Jin plays In Ji with controlled restraint, while Gong Yoo portrays Jeong Won as fragile beneath a polished exterior. The show focuses more on emotional distance, trauma, and intimacy than on fast moving plot twists. Its pacing is deliberate and atmospheric, which may feel slow for some viewers. It is mature, quiet, and psychologically layered rather than dramatic.
