How The Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss

Every Who

Down in Who-ville
Liked Christmas a lot…

But the Grinch,
Who lived just North of Who-ville,
Did NOT!

The Grinch hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season!
Now, please don’t ask why. No one quite knows the reason.
It could be that his head wasn’t screwed on quite right.
It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight.
But I think that the most likely reason of all
May have been that his heart was two sizes too small.

Most of the rhymes used in the original book were used in the film, though some were slightly changed, and new rhymes were put in as well. The film was directed by Ron Howard, produced by Howard and Brian Grazer, and starring comedian Jim Carrey.

Fun facts:

The Grinch is the second highest-grossing holiday film of all time with $345,141,403 worldwide, only behind Home Alone.

It won the Academy Award for Best Makeup, and was also nominated for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design.
