The 80's were jam-packed with great fantasy movies like Teen Wolf, Labyrinth, Gremlins, Beetlejuice, Legend, and Ghostbusters, to name a few. When recalling the original Ghostbusters movies in 1984 and 1989, who doesn’t remember the epic theme song by Ray Parker Jr… with catchy lyrics: “Who are you gonna call? Ghostbusters!”? After the terrible remake of Ghostbusters in 2016 (no offense meant if you liked this version), we had little hope for the franchise. Early in 2020, when the first trailer for Ghostbusters Afterlife came out, we thought, another repeat of the 2016 debacle. What a pleasant surprise! SPOILER ALERT

Disney Plus is finally coming to South Africa! Whoop! Whoop! The Walt Disney Company confirmed that winter 2022, it will be launching in 42 countries, including South Africa! In a media statement, the Walt Disney Company Africa said: “As confirmed in The Walt Disney Company’s Q3 earnings call, Disney+ will launch in South Africa in winter (between 21 June and 22 September) 2022.” No exact launch date has yet been confirmed, nor have any pricing details been revealed.  Expect more details to be revealed later this year.
